Recognize the Warning Signs
These are the issues we get called about most. If any of this sounds familiar, it is worth a diagnostic visit before the problem gets worse.
Clear ice machines making thin, cloudy or no ice
A U-Line clear ice machine freezes water in layers, so slow water supply or scale on the evaporator shows up as thin or cloudy cubes. Check that the water valve is fully open and that the cleaning cycle in the manual has been run on schedule. If production stays low, we test the water valve, the cutter grid and the refrigeration pressures. See likely causes →
Ice Machines leaking or flooding the cabinet
U-Line ice machines drain by gravity or through a drain pump, depending on the model and the install. Look for a kinked or sagging drain line under the unit. On a pump model, the technician checks the pump, its float switch and the line for clogs before replacing anything. See likely causes →
Beverage Centers not getting cold enough
A beverage center has to breathe through its front grille, so check that nothing blocks the toe kick and that the grille is free of dust. If cans stay warm with good airflow, we test the condenser fan, the temperature sensor and the compressor start parts. See likely causes →
Wine Refrigerators zones off their set temperature
Dual-zone wine refrigerators hold each zone separately, so one warm zone with the other fine points at that zone’s sensor or fan. Make sure the door closes fully and the gasket is clean. The technician measures both zones and compares them with the display before naming a part. See likely causes →
Outdoor wine refrigerators or ice machines struggling in summer heat
Outdoor-rated U-Line models are built for patios, but direct sun on the grille and debris in the condenser still cut their cooling. Shade the front and brush off leaves and pollen with the power off. If cooling stays weak, we check the condenser, the fan and the refrigerant system. See likely causes →
U-Chill not chilling the bottle
U-Chill is an in-counter cooling cylinder that chills one bottle with cold dry air, and it turns itself off after about four hours. Press it on again and make sure the outlet under the counter has power. If the cylinder stays warm, we test its cooling module, fan and control board. See likely causes →
Why Homeowners Trust Us With Their U-Line Appliances
Undercounter Refrigeration Specialists
U-Line builds compact refrigeration, and compact units have tight spaces and their own quirks. Our factory-trained technicians know how these units come out of the cabinetry and go back in.
Ice Problems Taken Seriously
A clear ice machine depends on water flow, drainage and scale control as much as on cooling. We check all three, so the repair lasts.
Written Price, No Surprises
You see the cost in writing before any work begins. We are licensed, insured and independent, not affiliated with U-Line.
30 Days of Labor Coverage
Every repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty. If the same problem comes back, so do we.
Why a U-Line Specialist Beats a General Repair Shop
A U-Line specialist focuses exclusively on U-Line appliances, carries U-Line-specific parts in every service vehicle, and trains technicians specifically on U-Line diagnostic procedures. A general repair shop works across dozens of brands and often doesn't stock parts — or carry deep expertise — for a less common model.

What U-Line Owners Say About Us
“Our undercounter U-Line in the Coral Gables wet bar started running nonstop back in the spring, compressor never shutting off. I figured the humidity down here had finally gotten to it. Technician found dust caked on the condenser coil from being tucked in a tight cabinet with no airflow, cleaned it out, and it cycles normally now.”
“Booked service for our U-Line ice machine in Pinecrest a few months back when it started putting out cloudy ice instead of the clear ice it's supposed to make. Assumed the machine itself was failing. Turned out to be a water filter well overdue for a change, swapped it, clear ice again within a day.”
“Our wine refrigerator's red-wine zone in a Pinecrest kitchen drifted warm sometime last winter while the white-wine side stayed perfectly fine. Called expecting a full system diagnosis. It was that one zone's sensor, replaced in under an hour, and the other zone was never touched.”
“Our U-Chill in a Coconut Grove home bar stopped responding to the touch crown earlier this year, no LED, nothing. I was ready to be told the whole unit needed replacing given how small and specific it is. It was the crown's control board, not the cooling jacket at all, and it works exactly like new.”
“Our U-Line beverage center in a Brentwood pool house started cooling unevenly last summer, warm on top and fine on the bottom. Assumed it needed a new compressor. It was cans packed right against the interior vent blocking airflow, rearranged and explained, no parts needed at all.”
“The Seamless-collection U-Line fridge in our Century City kitchen stopped sealing flush against the panel front sometime around the holidays last year, just enough gap to feel cool air. I braced for a full door assembly replacement given how integrated the panel is. Hinge adjustment only, done in place, looks untouched now.”
“Our ice machine in a Palisades kitchen slowed to almost nothing making crescent ice a few weeks back. I assumed the compressor was on its way out after years of daily use. It was scale buildup on the ice-forming surface from our water, descaled and back to full production. Docking one star only because the first appointment window ran long.”
“Our dual-zone wine unit in Studio City had one zone stuck a few degrees warm for what felt like most of last fall before we finally called. I was sure it meant replacing the whole cabinet given our collection. Single zone sensor, replaced same visit, other zone was never affected.”
“Our U-Line refrigerator drawer in a River Oaks kitchen island started buzzing loud enough to hear from the next room back in late summer. Assumed the compressor was failing given how constant it was. Loose mounting bracket, tightened in under an hour, silent since.”
“Booked our U-Chill in a Memorial Villages bar cart setup a couple months ago when the boost mode stopped engaging on Plus mode. Figured that meant the whole crown assembly was shot. It was a firmware-level reset the technician knew to try before anything else, boost mode works fine now.”
“Our beverage center in a Sugar Land kitchen started showing condensation fogging the glass door sometime this past winter. I thought that meant a failed door seal outright. It was a gasket that had partially lifted on one corner, reseated and adjusted, no replacement needed.”
“Our undercounter U-Line freezer drawer in The Woodlands stopped keeping ice cream firm sometime around late spring, everything else in the kitchen was fine. Assumed a full compressor failure given how specific the problem looked. Door seal had hardened with age, replaced, holds temperature properly now.”
“Our ice machine tucked into a Tribeca kitchen island went from making full batches to almost nothing back in January. I assumed the cold New York winter water pressure was somehow the cause. It was a stuck water inlet valve unrelated to pressure at all, replaced, full production again.”
“Our wine refrigerator in a Park Slope brownstone kitchen started running its compressor almost nonstop sometime last fall. Figured a unit that age was simply done. Condenser coil needed cleaning in a tighter-than-usual cabinet space, resolved same visit, no replacement necessary.”
“Our U-Line beverage center in a Riverdale house stopped lighting up inside a few weeks after we moved in, no visible reason. Assumed a wiring issue from the move itself. It was a failed interior light assembly, unrelated to the move, swapped out in one visit.”
“Our undercounter fridge drawer in a Murray Hill apartment kitchen wouldn't seal flush against the cabinet panel starting sometime over the summer. I assumed the whole unit had shifted out of level. Simple hinge realignment, took less time than the technician's drive over, panel sits flush again.”
“Coastal air in our Point Loma kitchen seems to find every seal eventually, and our U-Line wine unit's door gasket gave out sometime around this past spring. Figured full door replacement given the panel-ready front. Gasket swap alone, no more draft standing near it.”
“Our ice machine in a Carmel Valley kitchen started making unusually small, hollow cubes a couple months back instead of full clear ice. Assumed the whole ice-making mechanism had failed. It was a water flow restriction upstream of the machine, cleared, normal ice returned within a day.”
“Our U-Chill in a La Jolla home bar stopped engaging red wine mode sometime last winter, standard chilling still worked fine. Thought that meant the whole crown needed replacing given how integrated the modes are. Isolated control board failure, fixed without touching the cooling jacket at all.”
“Our beverage center in a Rancho Santa Fe kitchen started running warmer than the display for what felt like a few weeks before we called this past summer. Assumed it needed a full recharge. Overpacked interior blocking the vent again, rearranged and explained, temperature normal since.”
