What E6 Means
E6 is the shorted-circuit counterpart to E2, on the second thermistor.
Common Causes of E6
- Thermistor 2 internally shorted
- Wiring problem
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
A resistance test on the specific sensor, checking for a short.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Same disassembly-avoidance logic as the other multi-sensor codes — confirm which physical thermistor is involved first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
