What E6 Means
E6 means the thermistor read more than 10°F below its target for over 12 hours, an over-cooling condition.
Common Causes of E6
- Control setting too cold for the intended beverage type
- Sensor in a direct cold-air path
- Control board problem
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the temperature setting hasn't been set colder than intended, and that nothing is blocking airflow directly at the sensor.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Over-cooled beverages (cans freezing or bursting, for instance) are a visible sign worth acting on rather than just readjusting the dial and hoping it holds.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
