The 24″ 1224R was the volume seller in the Origin line, and after twelve to eighteen years the three things that account for almost all of its problems are the start relay, the temperature sensor and the condenser coil. None of them is expensive, and none of them requires opening the sealed refrigerant system — which is the main reason units of this vintage are so often worth repairing rather than replacing.
