What E3 Means
E3 means the door, or bottom drawer on drawer-style units, has been open longer than 20 minutes.
Common Causes of E3
- Door genuinely left open
- An item blocking full closure
- Worn or misaligned seal preventing a full latch
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check for anything (a bottle, a shelf, packaging) blocking full closure, and confirm the door seal isn't sticking to the frame.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None — this is a routine door-position alert, not a part problem.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
