How to Calibrate a U-Line Dual-Zone Wine Refrigerator

Dual-zone U-Line wine refrigerators let you store reds and whites at their correct serving temperatures — here's how to keep both zones accurate.

A dual-zone U-Line wine refrigerator is meant to hold two different temperature ranges at once — typically a cooler zone for whites and sparkling, and a warmer zone for reds — and keeping both accurate takes a small amount of routine attention.

Check Calibration, Not Just the Display

The digital display shows the set point, not necessarily the true internal temperature — an inexpensive appliance thermometer left in each zone for a day is the only reliable way to confirm actual accuracy.

Give the Unit Time After Adjustments

Wine refrigerators are built to change temperature slowly and gently, since rapid swings are bad for stored wine — don’t assume a fault just because the display hasn’t caught up within an hour of an adjustment.

When to Call a Technician

If a zone won’t hold its set point even after 24 hours, that’s a sensor or damper issue worth booking a visit for. See our wine refrigerator repair page.
