A wide Wine Captain has a long door, and a long door is hardest to seal at the point furthest from the hinge. That is where we measure first on a 2260WC with a temperature complaint: the latch end of a wide gasket sees the least compression by geometry alone, and after a decade it is the section that gives up first while the hinge end still looks perfect.
