U-Line refrigerators & freezers repair

Refrigerated drawers are a different sealing problem from a hinged door. The URDR424 has two drawer openings to keep sealed instead of one gasket, and each one relies on soft-close glides to bring the drawer home at a consistent pressure. When a glide loses its damping, the drawer rebounds a few millimetres and the seal never fully compresses — which shows up as a temperature complaint long before anyone notices the drawer is bouncing.

FAQ

U-Line URDR424 FAQ

They do not, inherently — but there are two sealing surfaces instead of one, and the seal depends on the glide closing the drawer fully, so glide wear shows up as a cooling sign.

Usually yes. The glide assembly is a serviceable part and is normally replaced without removing the cabinet from the cabinetry.
