What CLR Means
CLR belongs to one step of U-Line's service menu — Clear Error Log, positioned directly after View Error Log. Holding the key while it flashes erases the stored problem history. It signals nothing wrong in itself; what matters is that a beverage center's problems are often use-related and intermittent, and the log is where that pattern lives.
Common Causes of CLR
- A previous visit clearing the log after a completed repair, as intended
- Someone exploring the menu and holding the key at the CLR step
- A board replaced or restored to factory defaults, leaving the log empty
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Nothing to fix. The one thing worth flagging is whether anyone has stepped through the service menu before the visit, because a cleared log on a unit with an on-and-off problem means starting from nothing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Problems tied to heavy use — door entries clustering at weekends, runtime peaks on warm evenings — only become visible as a pattern in the log, and that pattern is what gets erased.
- Reaching service mode on current units means taking the display apart to get at a board-mounted button, which is not something that panel is built to survive repeatedly.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
