What E8 Means
E8 is the shorted-circuit counterpart to E4, on the fourth thermistor.
Common Causes of E8
- Thermistor 4 internally shorted
- Wiring problem
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
A resistance test on the specific sensor.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Same approach as the other thermistor codes — confirm the specific sensor before opening the unit.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
