What P1 Means
P1 is specific to models built with a P60 condensate pump (certain CLR2160 and CLRCO2175 configurations) — it means the pump's circuit is open, so the pump can't run when called on.
Common Causes of P1
- Pump power connector loose or disconnected
- Pump motor itself has failed
- Wiring problem between the control board and the pump
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that the pump is actually plugged into its connector and that nothing has pinched or disconnected its wiring since the last service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A condensate pump that can't run risks water backing up and overflowing inside the cabinet, which is worth addressing promptly rather than running the unit and hoping it clears.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
