What E3 Means
E3 means the main door, or the bottom drawer on drawer-style models, has been open longer than 20 minutes — a door-ajar alert, not a part failure.
Common Causes of E3
- Door or drawer genuinely left open
- An item inside blocking full closure
- A worn or misaligned door seal preventing a full latch
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that nothing (a shelf item, a bottle, packaging) is blocking the door or drawer from closing fully, and confirm the door seal isn't stuck to the frame.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None — this is a routine door-position alert, not a part problem, so checking and closing the door yourself is the correct first step.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
